Manali: Secrets revealed! Late Raj Kumar’s favorite was Dimple, Pooja Bhatt has made merry on cherry wine, Rani Mukerji’s mother has been doing the dough in the kitchen while Sushmita is bindaas and Dharam Bhaji is garam. Don’t believe it-drive in to the spectacular Bargarh Estate, one of the hottest filmi shooting jaunts in the Kullu valley and know exactly what prompts Bollywood stars to let their hair down. Oops guard!

Owned by the Khullar family one of the largest apple growers of the area, Baragarh estate near Naggar on the left bank of river Beas, is a spread of twenty acres of apple orchard , sprawling house and green lawns surrounded by fourteen snow-capped peaks. It’s picturesque view has attracted the likes of Rakesh Roshan and Mukesh Bhatt amongst others to shoot movies at the estate. The latest being, the yet to be released ‘Krish’starring Hirthik Roshan and beauty queen Priyanka Chopra.

Raj Kumar was one of the greatest persons I’ve met said Anil Khullar, as we warmed up for the evening in their lavish formal sitting room. He loved Dimple scotch and used to carry his own for the evening. He would graciously serve it to all present in the drawing room claims the family to whom dining and wining with the super-stars comes naturally.

However, Raj Kumar is ancient for son 32 years old Lawrence School educated Nakul who remembers how Pooja Bhatt during a visit had freaked on the home-made cherry wine. Shhh he says, perhaps to keep away the dialogue from his wife Sumita’s ears, one would think. No –for that’s the way Sushmita, the former Miss Universe, is addressed in the household. One of the coolest one to be around ,says Anil’s wife Sarita Khullar, who at times gets concerned about her wooden flooring and exquisite furniture. Sometimes the units are huge with over two hundred people so the do’s and dont’s have to be explained sternly, she adds.

me, Nakul Khullar in balcony of my home in Nagar on the opposite bank of Beas River : Nagar is also an heritage village with Nagar castle as main tourist attraction. In my own home many Bolywood movies like Gulam, Fanna and Krish were shot. Remember blind kajol making tea for her parents in a garden. 09816248514
